Cricket Australia (CA) on Thursday announced the 17-man squad for the upcoming red and white-ball series against India. The entire series will take place under the bio-secure bubble against the Virat Kohli led side starting from November 27.
The test series will begin from December 17 at the Adelaide Oval in what will be the day-night match of the series. Indian skipper Virat Kohli will only play a single game of the test series before returning to India for paternity leave.
The board has named five uncapped players in the 17-man squad including the in-form Victoria batsman Will Pucovski. Other uncapped players named in the squad are Mitchell Swepson, Cameron Green, Michael Neser and Sean Abott.
Tim Paine will lead the test team accompanied by his deputy Pat Cummins who has been named the vice-captain of the side.
The batting lineup has been studded with the inclusion of Steve Smith, David Warner, Marnus Labuschagne, Matthew Wade and skipper Tim Paine. And the presence of Pucovski and Cameron Green will only strengthen the depth of their batting.
