Sydney Thunder on Tuesday re-signed the right-arm spinner Arjun Nair for the upcoming season of the Big Bash League. The 22-year-old cricketer from the Australian nationality signed the contract for one year after returning from injury.
Nair had an injury plagued career from the last two years and he has finally declared himself fit to play in the upcoming edition of BBL.
“This is the first year in two years that I’ve been feeling pretty good about my body,” Nair said.
“You never think you get injured until it actually happens. Throughout the last season, I was playing through a bit of pain, I had a lot of strapping on it trying to minimise it,” he added.
Nair only played a handful of games for the Thunder two seasons ago and now this time around he is determined to play consistently.
“I did a lot of work during the offseason. I was doing a lot of bowling, a lot of gym work, just trying to get back into the best possible self I could be.” Nair concluded.
The 10th edition of the Big Bash League is set to begin from December 3.
