Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) on Monday confirmed of giving No Objection Certificate (NoC) to two of its player to play in PSL.
Two Bangladesh players are Tamim Iqbal and Mahmudullah who will play in the playoff round of the stalled Pakistan Super League season 4.
Earlier, the BCB had asserted on not providing the players with the NoC to play in the Lanka Premier League as it clashed with their domestic schedule. Similarly, they denied the NoC to the pacer, Mustafizur Rehman, for playing in IPL 2020 due to his obligation play for the national side during the Sri Lanka tour.
Unfortunately, Bangladesh’s tour of Sri Lanka got postponed
For the remaining matches, Lahore Qalanders have picked Tamim Iqbal as the replacement of Chris Lynn while Mahmudullah replaced Moeen Ali in the Multan Sultans squad.
“We will give them NOC as the PSL is not clashing with our domestic T20 tournament,” BCB cricket operations chairman Akram Khan told Cricbuzz.
Both the players got permission from the BCB considering the fact that Bangabandhu T20 tournament will expectedly start in the third week of November.
“We had planned to host the upcoming T20 tournament from mid-November but now as we are planning to host it from the third week of November, they can go ahead and play in PSL,” he added.
The playoffs of the PSL will start from November 14 with table-toppers Multan Sultan to take on Karachi Kings in the first qualifiers match.
Which will be followed by the eliminator game between Lahore Qalandar and Peshawar Zalmi on November 15. The finals of the tournament will take place on November 17, marking the end of season 4 of the PSL tournament.
