Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) on Wednesday said they are still awaiting the response from the ICC over the postponed series against Pakistan.
Bangladesh was slated to play one off Test, followed by one ODI match against Pakistan, but it was stalled due to COVID-19 pandemic.
The test match scheduled to take place in Karachi was a part of the ICC Test Championship. However, now the Pakistan Cricket team will travel to Bangladesh in November 2021 for playing two Tests and three T20Is series.
“This is something that is still a work in process in ICC [as it is being part of ICC Test Championship] and no decision have been taken regarding it. Probably that is the reason no board is speaking regarding it,” BCB chief executive Nizamuddin Chowdhury said.
Bangladesh team had visited Pakistan early this year where they lost the T20I series as well as the one off Test match.
“In the upcoming ICC meeting a decision regarding it is expected to come. [We’ll know] whether it will be rescheduled or the dates will be extended and how they will arrange the points,” he added.
