Brisbane Heat on Friday named the 15 member squad for the upcoming season of the Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) The side has kept the same squad but added three new members in the form of Georgia Redmayne, Nicola Hancock, and Georgia Voll.
The Australia Women ‘A’ team’s wicket-keeper Georgia Redmayne represented Hobart Hurricanes and Perth Scorchers previously. But now she will be seen playing for the Brisbane Heat starting from October 17 this year.
Pacer Nicola Hancock who has previously played for Hobart Hurricanes, Melbourne Renegades and Melbourne Stars will be expected to add strength to the pace attack.
The side also signed Charli Knott for the second time and she will continue to play for the Heat this season.
Brisbane Heat coach Ashley Noffke feels that this year’s squad has the potential to lift the title because of the depth in both batting and bowling.
“We feel confident we are in a good position to give our best with this group in the coming season. It’s great to have two experienced and talented players in Georgia and Nicola coming into the group, and we will look to give them every opportunity to showcase their skills,” Noffke was quoted as saying on the team’s official website.
