Sunrisers Hyderabad dealt with a huge blow after the all-rounder Mitchell Marsh suffered an ankle injury against the RCB on Monday.
RCB defeated the Sunrisers in their opening match by 10 runs as the bowlers provided the breakthrough in the crucial moment of the match.
It was during RCB’s inning in the fifth over when Mitchell Marsh came into bowl and sustained an ankle injury after fourth delivery.
Marsh left the field immediately and later he was ruled out of the whole season following the severity of his injury. Now the Cricket Australia is working closely with the IPL to bring the injured all-rounder to Australia.
If Marsh returns to Australia, he will have to undergo a quarantine of at least two weeks along with going into the rehabilitation.
CA is considering to fly him to either Perth or Adelaide where the other players who returned back from the England tour are serving quarantine.
The Sheffield Shield will begin from the early next month and there will be a total of four rounds of the tournament before Australia’s international fixtures.
