The long-awaited day for crores of Indians finally arrived on Wednesday as Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. Former Pakistan cricketer Danish Kaneria took to Twitter and called it a “Historical Day for Hindus across the world”.
To celebrate this historical event, the digital billboards on Broadway in New York City lit with the display of Lord Ram and a picture of the Ram Temple to be soon built in Ayodhya. It was the largest HD display that the city had ever witnessed. Sharing the picture of the digital display at the Times Square on his twitter handle, Kaneria wrote on:
“Today is the Historical Day for Hindus across the world. Lord Ram is our ideal.”
The display was put up on the digital billboards at 10 AM and continued for 12 hours. It is said to be one of the most expensive digital billboards of Lord Ram at the Times Square.
Expressing his delectation over the event the spinner wrote in another Tweet, “The beauty of Lord Rama lies in his character, not in his name. He is a symbol of the victory of right over the evil. There is wave of happiness across the world today. It is a moment of great satisfaction. #JaiShriRam”
PM Modi called this event an “emotional moment” for every citizen of the country and said that “every heart is illuminated today”.
The stone laying event was celebrated as a festival across the country with great zeal and enthusiasm.
