Sunrisers Hyderabad skipper David Warner on Monday extended greeting to his IPL teammate T Natarajan for his selection in the Indian team. T Natarajan was the talking point of IPL 2020, following his impressive show in the tournament.
He got his maiden India call-up for the upcoming tour against Sri Lanka starting at the end of this month. Natarajan has been picked in the T20 squad after the BCCI revised the whole squad for the series today.
He replaced Varun Chakravarthy who pulled out of the series due to an unavoidable injury during KKR’s last game of the season.
Sunrisers Hyderabad lost the qualifier 2 game against Delhi Capitals, leading to their ouster from the tournament in Dubai.
SRH may have exited from the tournament, but skipper David Warner didn’t shy away from congratulating Natarajan. In a video posted on his official Instagram account, he was “extremely proud” as he praised the pacer for his success.
“Bit of a mixed season, we didn’t start too well but at the back end, we got really good momentum. To finish off the way we did I am extremely proud of the guys and hopefully next year we will go one step further and make that final,” Warner said in the video.
“And congratulations Nattu, I’ll see you in Australia,” he added.
The T20I series between India and Australia will be from December 4, followed by the other two matches on November 6 & 8 at SCG.
