Delhi Capitals on Monday signed the Karnataka leg-spinner as the replacement for the injured Amit Mishra for IPL 2020. The team has suffered a couple of setbacks due to the injury of their players this season in the UAE.
The 27-year-old Dubey is already with the RCB team in the UAE as an additional net bowler and now he is about to move to Delhi.
Royal Challengers Bangalore had bought him at his base price of Rs. 25 lakhs in February 2016. He didn’t play a single match for the side ever since his acquisition by the team four years ago.
Pravin was born in Azamgarh and he has earned his name with consistent performance in the Karnataka Premier League. He played for the Belagavi Panthers and produced one of the best performances of his career in the 2015-16 season by taking 8 wickets.
After that, he went on to represent Karnataka in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and finished with 16 wickets. Delhi Capitals have showed faith in him as the suitable replacement for Amit Mishra.
Mishra had sustained flexor tendon injury in the game against the Kolkata Knight Riders and since then he has’t played a single game.
He has undergone surgery and currently under rehabilitation until he is declared fit to play again.
