Gary Kirsten, Indian Cricket Team’s former coach said on Dhoni’s retirement that it was his privilege that he got a chance to work with one of the best leaders.
It was Gary Kirsten, under whose guidance the Indian cricket team won the ICC world cup 2011. He was the head coach of Indian Cricket team between 2008-2011.
Gary Kirsten wrote from his official twitter account, “A privilege to work with one of the best leaders I have come across. Thanks, MS for many fond memories with Indian cricket team @msdhoni.”
Many times, earlier as well Gary has shown his trust in MSD as once he said, “I would go to war with Dhoni by my side.”
In his career Dhoni played 90 test matches scored 4876 runs with an average of 38.09, he played 350 ODI matches and scored 10773 runs with an average of 50.58.
After Dhoni announced his retirement on Instagram people across the world start pouring their love for Dhoni on the internet. Everyone was recalling the moment when the commentator said, “Dhoni finishes off in style. A magnificent strike into the crowd. India lift the World Cup after 28 years. The party’s started in the dressing room. And it’s an Indian captain, who’s been absolutely magnificent, in the night of the final.”
Dhoni proved that he is the best wicketkeeper anyone has ever seen, Dhoni has 195 international Stumpings, the most by any wicketkeeper.
However, many of his fans started requesting BCCI for a farewell match in Ranchi, CM of Jharkhand Hemant Soren urged BCCI to host a farewell match for MS Dhoni in Ranchi. Dhoni’s Childhood coach Chanchal Bhattacharya Reiterated CM’s Idea and wrote, ”CM Soren has suggested a farewell match. I think it is a great idea. I appeal to BCCI to organize a match in Ranchi.”
Now the people are waiting for IPL to start so that they can see their Caption Cool again, not in the blue jersey but in a yellow one.
