Sunrisers Hyderabad finally registered their first win of the season after beating Delhi Capitals by 15 runs on Tuesday. Skipper David Warner praised the side’s bowling that led to their victory in the ongoing Indian Premier League.
After the win, Warner revealed the hard work bowlers had put in during the death overs against the Delhi Capitals in Abu Dhabi.
SRH didn’t have a good start in IPL 2020 against the Royal Challengers Bangalore which they lost by 10 runs. In that match, all-rounder Mitchell Marsh sustained an ankle injury which came as a blow for the side.
Marsh was later ruled out of the entire tournament and Jason Holder replaced him after arriving in UAE last week.
“We have been working really hard in our training with the death bowling, and today they were fantastic because they can be called up at any stage,” Warner said after the win.
At the same time, he also emphasized on focussing on batting after they failed on capitalize on the remaining wickets in hand.
“We need a bit of luck with the bat, around ten of them found the fielders. We pride ourselves on our running between the wickets. But in this heat, running does take a toll. I did hit some good shots, and I told the analyst that it only found the fielders” the winning skipper added.
Sunrisers Hyderabad is now scheduled to face Chennai Super Kings in their next matchup on October 2 in Dubai.
