West Indies all-rounder Keemo Paul has signed a deal with Hobart Hurricanes for the 10th edition of the Big Bash League. Hurricanes signed Paul as one of their three international signings in the league alongside England’s Dawid Malan.
The club is yet to announce the third international signing for the season 10 of the league starting December 10. Besides, Hurricanes have also named Will Jacks and Colin Ingram as the replacements in case of any player’s injury.
The 22-year-old was a part of Delhi Capitals side in IPL 2020 and spent a quality time training under the supervision of Ricky Ponting. He has previously played in the Caribbean Premier League and also in the Pakistan Super League across the globe.
“I have spoken to Ricky here at the IPL about Hobart and Tasmania and he has spoken really positively about the team and the competition,” Paul said.
“I also caught up with Griff (coach Adam Griffith) after our game recently, and it was great to hear more about the very exciting squad this year.” he added.
Paul will join the Hurricanes after their tour of New Zealand starting November 27 till December 11 due to which he will miss out on the first three games of the BBL.
He is likely to play his first BBL game against the Melbourne Renegades on December 19 after returning from the New Zealand tour.
