Australian batsman Marnus Labuschagne, who broke through the International cricket with his resilient batting wishes to be the man-for-all-formats.
Labuschagne played a crucial role in Australia’s dominance in the last summer and also gave a tough competition to England in the Ashes.
Labuschagne is set to join Australia’s squad for the upcoming limited-overs series against England starting from September 4.
Australia will also play the first official ODI series after the coronavirus pandemic that struck the whole world and also stalled all the sporting activities.
“It doesn’t matter what the format is, I want to get better,” Labuschagne told reporters.
“Definitely some areas in one-day cricket I’m continuing to develop are my bowling, making sure I get a bit more consistent and become a better option for the skipper with the ball in those middle overs. I also want to keep working on my batting at the death.”
“It’s been good to have five months to work on (short format) skills – whereas if I was playing county cricket then you (I) might not have the opportunity to work on those specific skills,” the 26-year-old added.
Labuschagne averages over 60 in Tests while he averages 50.83 in the ODIs after he made his One day internationals debut against India in January.
