Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) director Mike Hesson on Monday spoke about the availability of Chris Morris against Mumbai Indians.
Hesson confirmed his absence as he had sustained a side strain, ruling him out of the first two matches. Now he is set to miss this match against the MI, still recovering from his injury.
“The mood’s good, we have spent time reflecting on our performance against KXIP, we obviously do not accept that as our standard, we have been training with a purpose. Morris is progressing really well but he is unlikely to play the match against Mumbai. He is one guy who we would love to have back as he gives the side a right balance,” said Hesson in a video.

Head coach Simon Katich said that Morris not playing in the side serves as a huge setback for them. RCB have won and lost one match so far and this will be their third match-up in the tournament in Dubai on Monday.
“We will look at things, when we first looked to pick our team at the start of the tournament, Chris Morris was a part of it, he balances our side and it has become a little more difficult to balance the things at the moment,” Katich said.
Virat Kohli hasn’t looked at his best yet, as could be seen against the Kings XI Punjab where he failed with the bat and also dropped two crucial catches.
Later, he was also fined Rs. 12 lakhs from the match referee for maintaining the slow-over rate against Kings XI Punjab.
