MS Dhoni has caught the attention of every single cricket fan after announcing retirement from the international cricket on August 15. Since the ouster from the 2019 World Cup semi-finals, Dhoni hasn’t played a single game for India.
In fact, there have been speculations that Dhoni is not as good as he used to be, as his strike rate dropped in the World Cup and according to initial reports, Dhoni was looking a bit rusty on the fields during the practice session.
But on the other side, the CSK CEO K.S. Viswanathan in a contradictory statement said that Dhoni is hitting sixes in all directions as usual.
“Dhoni is striking the ball very well. And there were plenty of sixes in all directions. Dhoni was his usual self, relaxed, confident and happy,” Viswanathan told Sportstar.
He added, “The boys had not trained for a long time and this was good for them. Coming after a break, they did not stretch themselves fully. That could have led to injuries. But the cricketers gradually found their rhythm.”
Two days back Dhoni has also received an appreciation letter from the Prime Minister Narendra Modi itself in which it was mentioned that how Dhoni has remained calm and helped the national team win the world cup in all the formats.
Dhoni has proved himself as one of the most successful captains Indian team has ever seen and he has been the one-point solution guy for all the young talents and for the experienced players as well.
No one is doubtful that how Dhoni is going to perform when he will be behind the wickets and leading the team like ‘Thala’ but his fans are worried about his performance when he will be ahead of it.
