Mumbai Indians put up an all-round show against the Delhi Capitals and defeated them by 5 runs in Abu Dhabi on Sunday. Quinton de Kock and Suryakumar Yadav scored half-centuries and ensured the good start to the chase leading to the win in the end.
This is also the first time that Mumbai Indians won a match by batting second and chase the target. Otherwise, both the teams had won all their matches by batting first so far.
After winning the toss, DC skipper Shreyas Iyer decided to bat first with the expectations of putting up a good total on the board. But they lost the wicket of the inform Prithvi Shaw in the first over, coming as the first blot in their innings.
Shikhar Dhawan and Shreyas Iyer then combined together and formed a partnership of 84 runs before Krunal Pandya struck for his second wicket.

Suryakumar Yadav too looked in a great touch as he struck his second consecutive half-century in the tournament. Yadav scored 53 runs off 32 balls including six boundaries and a six.
In the end, Mumbai Indians chased down the target with two balls remaining and also clinched the top spot in the latest team standings.
