New Zealand Cricket (NZC) on Wednesday announced appointing two new directors of the board’s managing council. Anna Campbell and Rebecca Rolls took over the positions as the new directors, following the first-ever AGM meeting on Zoom today.
Campbell has been the Managing Director of AbacusBio while Rolls is a former player at the White Fern football team.
Both of them will replace Liz Dawson and Don Mackinnon on the board headed by other eight members. The board has re-elected Diana Puketapu for the further term.
“The meeting heard NZC’s budgeted loss for the year of 2.4m New Zealand dollar had been turned into a surplus of 1.5m New Zealand dollar, partly due to a significant reduction in activity because of the onset of COVID-19, along with widespread operational savings across the organisation,” NZC said in a statement.
CEO David White acknowledged that NZC has been performing well financially in the past and he expects the same in the future.
“It was important to close out the year strongly because we understand we will be impacted by the additional costs linked to the pandemic; costs that have been unavoidable if we are to continue delivering international cricket in today’s environment,” he said.
