Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) CEO Wasim Khan on Tuesday hinted that Australia, NZ and England could tour Pakistan in 2021-22 season.
The board is working hard to organize the home series of Pakistan in the 2021-22 season. The officials are also in talks with various cricket boards for conducting international series at home. Apparently, Wasim Khan has managed to convince the likes of England, New Zealand and Australia for the series.
“These teams [England, Australia and New Zealand] have already confirmed that they will tour Pakistan in 2021 and 2022. Depending on the [global health crisis] situation, the coming years will see regular international cricket activities in Pakistan,” Khan told Geosuper.tv.
Earlier, England Test skipper Joe Root had expressed his desire to tour Pakistan in the future but the final decision remains in the hands of ECB.
Pakistan’s ongoing form hasn’t been up to the mark as could be seen from their dismal tour of England last month. They lost the Test series by 0-1 and managed to draw the T20I series 1-1 against mighty England.
As of now, the PCB is currently working on staging the remaining matches of the PSL in November.
