The Platinum Category of 25 foreign players for the sixth edition of the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) was released on the official Twitter handle of PSL on Tuesday. The 25-player roster includes big names and promises an exciting season ahead.
The top-ranked T20 batsman Dawid Malan, West Indies star players Chris Gayle and Dwayne Bravo, Dale Steyn, David Miller, and Rashid Khan are the star features in the quartet.
Afghan youngster Rashid Khan, who was named the ICC T20I Player of Decade recently, is one of the major head-turners of this season.
West Indies topliner batsman Chris Gayle is one of the most destructive batsmen in the T20 format. He has previously represented Karachi Kings and Lahore Qalandars in the earlier seasons of PSL.
Dawid Malan has also played in PSL in the last season. He represented Islamabad United
The HBL PSL draft is scheduled to take place on January 10 in Lahore. Each of the six franchises competing in the league will be permitted to make their key trades and retention decisions ahead of the Draft on January 10. Each team has been allowed at most eight retentions.
Director Commercial Babar Hamid said, “We are delighted to release a star-studded list of players in the Platinum category even though we are dealing with an unprecedented situation due to Covid-19 and player availabilities are also hampered by a packed FTP calendar.”
The sixth season of PSL is slated to be played during the February-March window.
