Rajasthan Royals on Thursday conducted its first team practice session in the UAE ahead of the IPL 2020. The team had reached UAE on August 20 and served six days of mandatory quarantine.
So far, all the teams have been following the protocols set by the BCCI as Rajasthan Royals franchise issued as statement saying: “The boys landed in Dubai and went straight to the hotel. As per the COVID-19 protocols set by the BCCI, they will be quarantined in their rooms for six days before they can step out and take part in any form of training,”
The IPL 2020 will span for 53 days and the matches will take place across Sharjah, UAE and Abu Dhabi. All the teams have already reached and gearing to start with their preparation for the upcoming season.
The tournament will begin from September 19 with the finals on November 10 which is a weekday. This will be the first time that the IPL finals will not be taking place on a weekend.
“IPL 2020 will be played from September 19 and the final will be played on November 10, 2020. The 53-day tournament will witness 10-afternoon matches starting at 15:30 IST while the evening matches will start at 19:30 IST,” BCCI said in a statement.
