Ace Bangladesh all rounder Shakib Al Hasan, just completed one year of ban from international on October 29 last month.
With Bangabandhu T20 tournament slated to begin next month, a total of 113 cricketers will have to undergo the fitness test. All the players will be under the radar on November 9 and 10 who have been drafted for the tournament.
ESPN Cricinfo reckons that Shakib would be in the pool of the players who need to clear the fitness test before playing in the tournament.
Shakib along with all those players will be present at the Shere Bangla National Stadium for the fitness test in the indoor facility. However, the same players won’t need to undergo the COVID-19 test as they have been following the health protcols.
As many as 31 professional cricketers including Shakib Al Hasan, Nasir Hossain and Sohag Gazi will be a part of the test.
While the rest of the pool of players consists of the ones who play in First class/ Club level cricket. Some of them even played in National Cricket League and Bangladesh Cricket League last season.
Many players have been training in the practice facilities and also exercised regularly and some of the players also participated in various T20 tournaments across the country.
