The cricket fraternity has come forward to express their grief over the Lebanon explosion that has claimed over 78 lives till now and injured more than 4000 people. Team India’s skipper expressed his condolences for the people of Lebanon and write on his twitter handle, “Heartbreaking and shocking. My thoughts and prayers are with the people of Lebanon.”
Other cricketers including Mayank Agarwal, conveyed their prayers for the nation.

A massive explosion took place at the Beirut Port Silos, Lebanon on the evening of 4th August. The impact of the explosion was felt as far as 10-20 Km from the blast site. The blast and has ravaged half of the city, damaging residences, hospitals and other buildings. The cause of the explosion has been found to be the detonation of ammonium nitrate that had been stored in the port for a long time.
