Kolkata Knight Riders Ali Khan has been ruled out of the ongoing Indian Premier League 2020 due to an injury. The 29-year-old fast bowler joined Kolkata Knight Riders as a replacement of the injured Harry Gurney.
Unfortunately, he sustained an injury during the nets session on Tuesday and hasn’t played a single game for the side.
Kolkata Knight Riders have so far played four matches, winning two of them and lost as many. The last defeat came against the Delhi Capitals by 18 runs after a batting conundrum.
KKR still has one option in form of New Zealand’s Lockie Ferguson who is yet to play his first match of the season.
“Earlier, Kolkata Knight Riders signed up Ali Khan as a replacement for injured Harry Gurney. Khan became the first USA cricketer to be signed up by an IPL franchise. Unfortunately, Khan has since been injured and will miss the rest of the Dream11 IPL 2020 season,” an IPL statement read.
The side is set to face Chennai Super Kings in their upcoming match of the tournament on October 7 in Abu Dhabi.
