The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Wednesday confirmed Zimbabwe’s tour of Pakistan for the white-ball series. The speculated limited-overs series will take place between the month of October and November.
Zimbabwe Cricket was awaiting the confirmation about the tour from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). The tour will consist of three ODIs and as many T20I matches tentatively scheduled to begin from October 20.
Zimbabwe Cricket president Tavengwa Mukuhlani was optimistic about PCB’s response and now they have finally got the green signal.
The players will get the travelling clearance in the coming weeks along with the final schedule of the tour. The three-match ODI series will also be a part of ICC Cricket World Cup Super League as the qualification for the 2023 World Cup.
PCB is also working on the mechanism to host the series under the bio-secure bubble with the supervision of the ECB and the ICC. PCB will also make sure that the Zimbabwe players don’t have to stay under quarantine for more than one week before the series begins.
