The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) recently announced the long-awaited broadcasting arrangement for the years 2023-27. The BCCI Media rights for the aforementioned period will be finalised by the end of August, which will be a big development for cricket fans throughout India.
The announcement was made directly by the secretary of the BCCI, Jay Shah, who also stated that the board planned to complete all necessary buys before the three-match ODI series against Australia in September.
There has been much expectation over the potential new broadcasting partner for Indian cricket as the previous media rights arrangement with Star Sports terminated in March 2023.

Now that BCCI is working on completing a deal that promises complete coverage of cricket matches featuring the Indian team.
While the attention of cricket supporters has already centred on the upcoming ODI World Cup, before that, the visiting Australian side will play India’s cricket team in three one-day matches as a warm-up. These games will provide the team with crucial practice and an opportunity to adjust their strategies.
The participation of India in the 2023 Asian Games, which will take place in Hangzhou later this year, was also announced by Jay Shah.
The men’s and women’s cricket sides have been given permission to represent India and compete for gold in the renowned multi-sport event by the Apex Council.
