Inaugural Lanka T10 League To Commence in December Posted at: July 14, 2023 Lanka T10 League The much-awaited debut season of the Lanka T10 League is expected to add an exciting new chapter to Sri Lanka’s cricket. The tournament, which had been scheduled for June 2023, has been moved to December to coincide with Sri Lanka’s domestic and international cricketing seasons. Sri Lanka Cricket made the decision to proceed, believing that the month of December would be the most appropriate time for hosting this tournament. The Lanka T10 League will feature some of the best cricketers from across the world alongside Sri Lanka’s best players. Young and aspiring cricket players from across the country will get a platform to display their talents among the sport’s all-time greats due to this thrilling competition. Mr Shammi Silva, president of Sri Lanka Cricket, expressed his confidence in the competition’s success by saying, “I am extremely confident that this tournament will become a success and help Sri Lanka Cricket keep up to date with the evolving trends of the game.” With this level of backing from cricket’s governing body, the Lanka T10 League is well-positioned to establish itself in the world cricket arena. Lanka T10 Teams to Permit Six Overseas Players Six men’s teams and four women’s teams will compete in the league. Six foreign players will be allowed on each team’s squad of 16, adding diversity and international flair to the sport. TTen Sports Management, together with TTen Global Sports, Innovative Production Group FZE, and TTen Sports Management to build a strong collaboration, is the Lead Event Rights Partner for the event. The Lanka T10 League will include games at some of Sri Lanka’s premier international cricket grounds, which will produce an engaging atmosphere.
