Alyssa’s greatest innings came in the finals and when it was required the most the star batter scored a mammoth 170 in just 138 balls. Her knock ensured that England never got back in the game. For her amazing performance in the finals and the rest of the tournament, she was awarded player of the match and also player of the tournament.

Australian team made 356 runs in 50 overs which was looking very difficult to chase for England women’s team. And the 29-year-old also picked up four wickets while returning economical figures through the World Cup with her handy medium pace bowling.
The defending champions didn’t lose a single match in the whole tournament. Winning seven out of seven in the league stage and keeping the streak going with wins in semi-finals and finals. Now after the winning performance and combined effort of the Australian team the team has now 7 titles to their name making them the most successful team of the tournament.
