India to Play Bilateral Series Against West Indies Before Asia Cup 2023
Though Rahul has been sidelined in the T20I and Test format, he has been bankable in the ODI format. He can bat at the front as well as in the middle-order. He has a commendable average at the No. 4 and No. 5 positions that will make him the favourite in the squad.
Meanwhile, India will play 3 ODI’s against West Indies and then the Asia Cup 2023. The West Indies tour will begin with the first Test on July 12, followed by another Test (July 20-24) which will be part of the World Test Championship Cycle (2023-25). They will also play in the white-ball series which will begin on July 27. Before the World Cup, India will also play 3 ODI’s against Australia. It will be interesting to see when Rahul makes a comeback. India will likely kickstart their World Cup campaign against Australia on October 8.
