Sachin Tendulkar Birthday: Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar also known as “The Little Master,” turned 50 today. Tendulkar, born on April 24, 1973, in Mumbai to a Maharashtrian family, had a remarkable cricketing career spanning over two decades. He is considered the greatest batsman since the days of Don Bradman and has left a permanent mark on the sport.
During his career, Tendulkar amassed an incredible 34,357 runs across formats, making him the leading run scorer in international cricket. Overall, Sachin played in 200 Test matches, in which he scored 15,921 runs, 463 One-Day Internationals, in which he scored 18,426 runs, and a single T20 match, in which he scored 10.

He also holds a number of records, such as his record of being the first player to reach a double hundred in an ODI, which he achieved against South Africa on February 24, 2010, at Gwalior.
At 16, Tendulkar made his international debut for India against Pakistan. Despite some setbacks, he became one of the most renowned cricket players of all time. At the Wankhede stadium, where he played his final match for India in 2013, he competed in a record-breaking six World Cups and was an integral part of the Indian side that won the tournament in 2011.
Tendulkar participated in the Indian Premier League for the Mumbai Indians in addition to his international career. He scored 2,334 runs in 78 games, including one century and 13 fifty-run innings.
A spectacular celebration was held earlier at the Mumbai Wankhede Stadium during the 2023 Indian Premier League match between the Mumbai Indians and Punjab Kings. The stadium was packed with fans who gathered to wish Sachin Tendulkar, a local icon, a happy 50th birthday.
During the PBKS innings, the MI team set up a memorable cake close to their dugout, and numerous team members gathered around it to celebrate the occasion. When Sachin appeared on the screen, the crowd roared in an eruption of “Sachin Sachin”. The atmosphere in the stadium was electric, and the fans thoroughly enjoyed the celebrations.
