The ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 is round the corner as we embrace the mega event to start in just 100 Days. The International Cricket Council (ICC) has launched a spectacular event namely the ICC World Cup Trophy Tour.
The launch of the World Cup Trophy Tour was kickstarted in a fashionable style as the Trophy was set 120,000 feet above the Earth before landing at the iconic Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, which will host the final of the event.
The iconic milestone of lifting the trophy to such a great extent was achieved with the World Cup Trophy attached to a bespoke stratospheric balloon. High-Definition 4K cameras were set up to catch a glimpse of the silverware sitting on the edge of Earth’s atmosphere. The balloon crossed 99.5% of Earth’s atmosphere with a temperature of -65º C.
The space flight had set the stage for the mega-launch as we now enter the penultimate stage for the countdown to World Cup 2023, which is scheduled to take place in India from October to November 2023.
ICC World Cup Trophy to visit 18 countries
A number of varied activities will provide the opportunity for over a million fans to connect with the ultimate Silverware Trophy ahead of the heavyweight event. The Trophy will visit 18 countries across five continents of the world.
The Trophy will spur around 20 cities in India and will also tour a number of emerging associate nations such as Bahrain, Kuwait, Papua New Guinea, Nigeria, Uganda, France, Malaysia, Italy, and the United States of America, giving an opportunity to the new and existing fans to get a glimpse of world cricket’s ultimate trophy.
