India and Australia released their brand-new uniforms for the renowned ICC World Test Championship (WTC) final, which is set to take place at The Oval in London. The one-off Test match between these two cricketing giants is scheduled to be held from June 7 to 11, plus a reserve day on June 12.
Australia’s WTC final jersey was influenced by their popular white-ball fits from earlier ICC tournaments. The team’s name appears in a font that matches that of recent T20 and 50-over World Cups and has yellow trim on the collar and side borders.
India, on the other hand, has made major modifications to their white uniform as they shift to its latest kit sponsor, the renowned apparel company Adidas. In comparison to two years ago, the collar’s colour trim has been changed to a lighter tone of blue. The Adidas symbol is prominently featured on the right sleeve, and the team’s name on the front of the shirt now matches the colour below. The players’ Test cap numbers are displayed under the BCCI logo in keeping with tradition.

WTC Final Kits unveiled by Adidas
Through a short clip released on their official social media channels on June 1, the BCCI and Adidas unveiled the new Indian uniform for all three formats. The renowned Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai was used as the video’s backdrop. The BCCI also shared a separate video featuring members of the men’s and women’s national teams joyously donning brand-new uniforms.
Heading into the WTC Final, The Indian team, guided by Rohit Sharma, has an advantage going into the World Test Cup final after recently overcoming Australia 2-1 at home to win the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Before their top match, both teams, however, have injury concerns. It will also be challenging for both India and Australia to get used to the difficulties red-ball cricket poses in English conditions.
