The International Cricket Council (ICC) has finally announced the much-awaited latest edition of the ICC Test Rankings. Some significant changes have been observed post the conclusion of the India-Australia series in Ahmedabad, the New Zealand-Sri Lanka Test match in Christchurch and the South Africa-West Indies game in Johannesburg.
Ace Indian Off-Spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has regained the No. 1 Test bowler ranking, edging past Australian skipper Pat Cummins. Ashwin had a mesmerizing stint at the recently concluded Border-Gavaskar Trophy where he chipped 25 wickets and was jointly declared as the Player of the Series alongside his left-handed counterpart Ravindra Jadeja.

This helped Virat to climb seven places and take the 13th position in the Test batsmen rankings. Australian batsman Khwaja who scored a touchdown knock of 180 runs in the same game also gained marvellously as he gained two places to claim the seventh spot in the rankings.
Astonishing all-rounder Cameron Green also piloted his maiden century in the Indian subcontinent which helped him scale 11 places to the 26th position.
