AUS vs WI 2nd Test: Cricket Australia (CA) has inducted terrific paceman Lance Morris and all-rounder Michel Neser ahead of the second pink-ball test at Adelaide. The inclusion of Morris is highly subjective to the injury of the veteran pacer and incumbent skipper Pat Cummins who will likely miss the crucial fixture. Australia will be aiming to bolster their quickies ahead of an action-packed summer of cricket.
Michael Neser’s inclusion is no surprise since the classical all-rounder has travelled alongside the test team multiple times. Neser has been scintillating at Adelaide and played exceptionally well last summer to take his side through.
Lance Morris, 24, has finally stormed into the test squad in a quick stint. He made his debut for Melbourne Stars in the 2019-20 season and made a name for himself. Morris subsequently made his debut at the Sheffield Shield championship in 2021-22 and displayed an impactful performance by scalping 20 wickets in his maiden season.
Morris retained his consistency and developed his skills to come back stronger and is now the leading wicket-taker at the ongoing edition of the Sheffield Shield grabbing 27 wickets at a contemplating average of 18.40. Lance will be likely provided with an exciting opportunity in the ongoing series.
Addressing the media, Selection Committee Chairman George Bailey stated that Michael Neser has been performing incredibly well in the domestic circuit and he will likely give his best for the national side. Speaking of Morris, Bailey mentioned that the young paceman has been convincing with his talent at the ground level and will likely justify his selection in the upcoming game.

Cummins did not take to the field on the final day of the play where the Aussie stunned West Indies by 164 runs to take a 1-0 lead in the series.
