All-rounder Mark Deyal has been included in the Trinbago Knight Riders squad ahead of the 2023 edition of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL). Deyal will replace Khary Pierre who has been swapped to the Saint Lucia Kings franchise for CPL 2023.
Interestingly, Mark Deyal will finally return to his home squad after a time frame of three years. Deyal had previously been a part of the Saint Lucia Kings franchise for three seasons. Deyal has scored 446 runs in the last three editions with a top score of 78.
Notably, Khary Pierre had an exceptional stint for Trinbago Knight Riders as he has been a part of the franchise since 2017. He played an instrumental role in the franchise’s victory three times in the last six editions. Pierre has been monumental at CPL as he has grabbed 40 wickets with an exemplary average of 25.
The Trinbago Knight Riders franchise will announce their complete squad for the upcoming season after the Player Draft that is set to take place at the end of June.
CPL 2023 to commence from Aug 16
The CPL 2023 is scheduled to take place from 16th August to 24th September 2023.
Trinbago Knight Riders will be geared up to clinch another title. They are one of the most successful franchises at the championship. Jamaica Tallawahs are the reigning champions who won the championship back in 2022.
First started in 2013, Caribbean Premier League is one of the most successful T20 franchise leagues across the globe. It has received tremendous response from all the fans and achieved a stellar viewership in 2022 as 721.8 million spectators enjoyed watching the league. A total of six franchises take place in the stupendous championship namely Jamaica Tallawahs, Barbados Royals, Guyana Amazon Warriors, St Kitts & Nevis Patriots, Saint Lucia Kings and Trinbago Knight Riders. It will be interesting to find out which franchise wins the upcoming season.
