SRH vs DC Highlights: After winning two back-to-back matches, Delhi Capitals couldn’t continue the winning momentum as Sunrisers Hyderabad took the revenge by beating the former by 9 runs on Saturday at Arun Jaitley Stadium. Delhi had the chance to register their third win but they wasted the opportunity.
SRH came with the opening pair of Abhishek Sharma and Mayank Agarwal. The latter couldn’t carry on with his good run but Abhishek Sharma played a masterclass knock of 67 runs in 36 balls. He was striking the ball clean and big despite the likes of Tripathi (10), Markram (8), and Harry Brook (0) falling cheaply at the other end.
Abhishek Sharma departed in the 12th over, meaning half of the side was back to the hut with the score of 109 runs on the board. Klaasen then came at number six and, once again, exhibited his class with the bat. He played an impactful knock of 53 runs in just 27 balls, helping the team reach a monumental score of 197 runs on the board. The likes of Abdul Samad (28 off 21) and Akeal Hosein (16 off 10) also played handy cameos as well lower down the order.
For Delhi, Mitchell Marsh proved to be the standout performer with the ball. He claimed four wickets for 27 runs in 4 overs. In pursuit of the target, Delhi lost David Warner (0) in the very first over as Bhuvneshwar Kumar, once again, struck early in the powerplay.

However, Mitchell Marsh and Phil Salt steady the ship brilliantly. The duo added 112 runs for the second wicket before the latter departed in the 12th over. Salt struck 59 off 35 deliveries, including 9 fours. Till that stage, Delhi looked like favourites to win the game.
But Salt’s wicket triggered a collapse. In the space of three overs, Delhi lost Manish Mandey (1) and Mitchell Marsh (59) as well. The likes of Priyam Garg (12) and Sarfaraz Khan (9) couldn’t make the most of the opportunity as well.
Axar Patel (29 off 14) remained unbeaten till the end and should have come, earlier as Delhi fell 9 runs short of the target in the end. Mayank Markande continued his fine form with the ball as he picked two crucial wickets for 20 runs in 4 overs.
