RCB vs DC: Both teams haven’t had a great start so far. Bangalore started off well with a win over MI but then lost two consecutive teams. However, it is worth mentioning that they haven’t been outplayed in those games and the players are in great form. Virat Kohli has been in supreme form with the bat and so are Du Plessis and Maxwell.
In the last game, all three senior players, namely Virat Kohli (61 off 44), du Plessis (79 off 46), and Maxwell (59 off 29) made significant contributions with the bat and helped the team reach a massive knock of 212 runs.
Still, it didn’t prove enough as Lucknow chased it down on the last ball, thanks to Pooran and Stoinis. Once again, the match is going to be at RCB’s home ground and you can expect a lot of runs to be scored. But, RCB bowlers should look to bowl in great areas. The absence of Hazlewood and Hasaranga is obviously hurting them at the moment.
On the other hand, Delhi Capitals have had a horrendous season so far. They have played four matches and have lost all four games. David Warner and Axar Patel are the only two players who have scored runs for the team consistently.
Prithvi Shaw’s poor run and Pant’s absence are some of the biggest reasons behind their downfall. Besides, Anrich Nortje, too, has proved expensive for them as well.
For Delhi to turn their fortunes around, Prithvi Shaw has to step up the plate, while the likes of Manish Pandey, Yash Dhull and Rovman Powell also need to up the ante.
Mitchell Marsh is back on the team and this is positive news for the team. His inclusion would be vital for them.
Both teams would be eager for a win and you could expect a cracker of a contest on Saturday.
