RR vs LSG Prediction: Rajasthan Royals will be taking on Lucknow Super Giants in the 26th match of the Indian Premier League 2023 on Tuesday at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.
Both teams have dished out good performances season and, currently, hold the top two spots on the points table. The Royals find themselves at the top of the table with 4 wins in 5 matches.
They have won their last three matches and would be looking to register their fourth consecutive win. Batting has become their strength. The openers, namely Jos Buttler and Yashasvi Jaiswal got out cheaply in the last game but both are in pretty good touch. You expect the duo to give the team a strong start.
Samson played a blistering knock of 60 runs in 32 balls, while Shimron Hetmyer has been consistently providing the finishing touches. He scored 56 runs in 26 balls, thereby, helping the team chase down a 178-run target in 19.2 overs.
Rajasthan is currently the table topper, followed by Lucknow in 2nd place
Rajasthan also has sensational bowling up. However, experienced campaigners like Boult, Chahal, and Ashwin proved expensive with the ball in the last match. Expect them to make a strong comeback. Sandeep Sharma was the pick of the bowlers as he returned with figures of 2 for 25 in 4 overs.
On the other hand, Lucknow Super Giants have 3 wins in 5 matches and are second on the table. Lucknow lost the opportunity to bag their fourth win against Punjab as they suffered a 2-wicket defeat.
Once again, the batting unit was disappointed with their performance. Nicholas Pooran (0) and Stoinis (15), who starred with the bat in Lucknow’s previous game, failed to make an impact. KL Rahul and Mayers (29 off 23) provided a quick start but, once the latter departed, wickets fell in quick succession.
KL Rahul top-scored with the bat, scoring 74 runs in 56 balls but still, he was at the receiving end of criticism due to his strike rate. In the end, all they managed was 159 runs. It didn’t prove enough as Punjab Kings chased down the total in 19.3 overs.
Lucknow should look to forget that defeat and make a strong comeback. It will be interesting to see how the two teams fare in their next match.
