Pakistan all-rounder Nida Dar is reaping rewards for her quality performance in the recently conducted three-match T20I series against Ireland happening in Lahore. Dar has showcased excellence in her batting and bowling skills, boosting her ICC Women’s T20I rankings. She has climbed up to the 35th position in batting and 5th in bowling.
Out of the three matches, Dar scored a half-century and 28 runs in the first two matches. The right-hander scored a fifty while Pakistan was in a six-wicket loss in the opening game while taking three wickets in the first two.
This performance has made her the leading run-scorer and joint-highest wicket-taker in the series. She carried Pakistan to victory against Ireland by six wickets. Her excellent form has helped her move three positions higher in batting and one position higher in bowling for ICC Women’s T20I rankings.
Other fellow team members have also achieved a boost in rankings. Her teammate Nashra Sandhu, left-arm bowler, rose four spots ranking at 25th for bowling, levelling with Ireland seamer Arlene Kelly. Pakistani right-arm bowler Omaima Sohail rose five positions ranking her at 42nd in the bowling category.
A few Irish players also climbed up several rankings in various genres. Young batter Gaby Lewis climbed one spot to reach the 29th ranking at an early age. Her teammate Orla Prendergast is also confirmed to move twelve spots, ranking her at 60. She also rose eighteen spots making her the 21st-best all-rounder in the world. Ireland’s Lewis also improved four places to her herself to 30th in the bowlers’ list.
During this series, individual performances from both teams are impressive leading them to a hike in the ranking of several players.
