The recent ICC Men’s T20I Player Rankings have been released. India’s all-rounder Hardik Pandya and batsman Suryakumar Yadav have significantly improved. This is a result of their outstanding performances in the first T20I of their three-match series against Australia on Tuesday in Mohali.
Yadav advanced one spot to third place in the ICC Men’s T20I Player’s Rankings after earning 46 points in 25 balls with a 780 rating. On the other hand, Pandya rose 22 spots to 65th place thanks to his 71 points in 30 balls. Pandya has also passed Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell to grab sixth place. Axar Patel has climbed the bowlers’ rankings after recording a three-for-17 total that propelled him from 57th to 33rd place.
Australia’s Player of the Match Cameron Green entered the top 100 following a 30-ball 6. But the fast bowler Josh Hazlewood, who claimed two wickets during the match, still holds the top spot among bowlers.
Mohammad Rizwan, the Pakistan opener, has solidified his position atop the list of hitters. He scored 68 runs off of just 46 deliveries in the first of seven T20Is against Australia at home. Rizwan now has 825 rating points, a career-high, 33 more than South African Aiden Markram, who is in second place. Rizwan has gained 15 rating points.
The other Pakistani players to advance up the rankings are fast bowler Haris Rauf (up four spots to 31st), spinner Mohammad Nawaz (up three spots to 31st), and Usman Qadir (up 16 spots to 102nd). Also, Babar Azam has slipped down to number with a rating of 771.
