Jaiswal’s exceptional stint came for Rajasthan Royals against Kolkata Knight Riders in Match 56 of the IPL 2023 last evening at Eden Gardens. Jaiswal has set an ultimate benchmark that will be difficult to break by the upcoming generation. He smashed 12 boundaries and 5 sixes in his absolutely stunning knock.
2. KL Rahul (Punjab Kings, 2018)
Ace Indian frontline KL Rahul holds the record of powering the second-fastest half-century in the history of IPL. Rahul attained the feat while leading the Punjab Kings in the 2018 edition of the championship. He smashed a scintillating half-century against Delhi Capitals in only 14-balls. Pooran is a crucial part of the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) franchise and his marvellous knock came against Royal Challengers Bangalore in the ongoing edition of the championship. 7. Suresh Raina (Chennai Super Kings, 2014)
Suresh Raina is one of the most phenomenal Indian batting talents and is regarded as the finest batsman in the history of the Indian Premier League. Raina is amongst the top-scorers in IPL and he has yet another sizzling record against his name for smashing the seventh fastest half-century in the history of IPL. Raina achieved the milestone against Punjab Kings at the 2014 edition of IPL where he completed his 50-runs in only 16 balls. 8. Ishan Kishan (Mumbai Indians IPL 2021)
Flamboyant Mumbai Indians opener Ishan Kishan is hailed as one of the most excellent T20 batters in the history of IPL. Kishan’s astonishing knock came against Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2021 when he smacked 50 runs off just 16 balls. He went on to score 61* runs off just 20 deliveries. 9. Chris Gayle (Royal Challengers Bangalore, 2013)
The mighty Caribbean batter Chris Gayle cannot be excluded from the list as he is one of the most renowned T20 powerhouses. Gayle has held many IPL records apart from being the ninth-fastest batter to score a half-century in the championship. Gayle’s solid knock came for Royal Challengers Bangalore against Pune Warriors India at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore in 2013. Gayle brought his 50 in only 17 balls and went on to score the highest individual total at IPL as he ended up with 175 runs in his kitty.
10. Hardik Pandya (Mumbai Indians, 2021)
Gujarat Titans skipper Hardik Pandya had a remarkable career for Mumbai Indians where he lifted three titles alongside the franchise. Pandya is known to be one of the greatest hitters of the white ball. Hardik has played many contemplating knocks for Mumbai Indians. He earned the monicker for hitting humongous sixes for the side. He achieved the accolade in just 17 balls. This knock came against Kolkata Knight Riders at the Eden Gardens in the 2021 edition of the championship. Apart from Gayle and Pandya, Australia’s legendary Adam Gilchrist had also scored the fastest IPL 50 in IPL History in only 17-balls back in 2009 while featuring for Deccan Chargers against Delhi Daredevils. Mumbai Indians Kieron Pollard has also smashed a 17-ball half-century against Chennai Super Kings at IPL 2021 in Chepauk.
